Research concerning to Rescue and disaster management has been developed in ARLab of UdG.

Rescue and disaster management is an important and serious social issue in the light of recent  events around the world as Asian tsunami and hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and terrorist disaster as London attacks.

Currently, we are appling task scheduling and resource allocation for agents interacting in a disaster environment. It is a hard application domain due to the dinamicity of this escenario and communication and perception constraints. On the other hand, agents can be damaged when they are trying to accomplish their tasks. We have used coordination mechanisms among agents and auctions for task allocation. We have used the RoboCup Rescue simulator of RoboCup Rescue Project as a testbed.
