- Once the model is known, the system must be calibrated in order to obtain the values of the extrinsic and intrinsic parameters.
- A set of non-coplanar 3D points and their 2D image points are needed.
- Calibration is based on the principle of function minimisation in order to obtain the parameters that reduce the error among real 2D image points and the 2D image points given by the model.
