SPECTS_Summary

Ali Azadeh is an associate professor and the founder of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tehran. He is also a faculty member in the Department of Engineering Optimization and co-founder of the Research Institute of Energy Management and Planning at the University of Tehran. Dr Azadeh is the director of Simulation and Computer Aided Design and HSE Laboratories at the Faculty of Engineering.. He is a member of the Center of Excellence for Intelligent Mechanical Experiments. He graduated with first class honors degree (BS) in Applied Mathematics from the University of San Francisco (1983) and obtained his MS and Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the San Jose State University (1986) and the University of Southern California (1992). He received the 1992 Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Award for excellence in research and innovation of doctoral dissertation in USA. He is the recipient of the 1999-2000 Applied Research Award, at the University of Tehran, Iran. Professor Azadeh has published more than 160 papers in international journals and conferences. Dr. Azadeh has worked as a scientific consultant to various companies in R&D projects and is an active member of various scientific organizations. His main research interests are performance measurements of manufacturing systems, integrated quality and productivity modeling, intelligent computer simulation and total human factors engineering.
